I have a MIDI footswitch I use to switch my synths and switch our lights, so having a sequencer that can load up patches/programs via Program Change for song changes would be a big help.ġ) I need to send our drummer a click from a separate output. Like could I configure the Mac Mini to boot up, launch the MPC software from the login configuration and just have the MPC Touch connect and do nearly everything from the MPC Touch itself (I understand some touch screen features are not yet implemented)ģ) Do you have to use the DisplayLink software with a Mac? I read its problematic and I don't see the benefit of having the MPC Touch's 7" display being a second monitor (that you can't click)Ĥ) Is the software very CPU heavy? Just can't bring myself to spend $500 on an old MPC and I honestly don't know if they are slow or if an old OS will drive me nuts. I've been searching eBay for an MPC1000 for a while now, and this weekend I went from Maschine to MPC Touch.
