I have a MIDI footswitch I use to switch my synths and switch our lights, so having a sequencer that can load up patches/programs via Program Change for song changes would be a big help.ġ) I need to send our drummer a click from a separate output. But can the MPC Load Song/Programs from an _incoming_ Program Change? wav/.aifs sounds like a nightmare)ġ) Looks like you can configure a Program to send MIDI Program and Bank Changes. Does anyone know if I used that to sample some synth patches, if the file format of those files could be imported into the MPC Touch? I'm pretty ignorant if there are any "standard" sampling file formats (and dragging. Like could I configure the Mac Mini to boot up, launch the MPC software from the login configuration and just have the MPC Touch connect and do nearly everything from the MPC Touch itself (I understand some touch screen features are not yet implemented)ģ) Do you have to use the DisplayLink software with a Mac? I read its problematic and I don't see the benefit of having the MPC Touch's 7" display being a second monitor (that you can't click)Ĥ) Is the software very CPU heavy? My machine would be running light software and video software - both of which maybe hit the 30% mark on the CPU.ĥ) MainStage has a cool synth sampler app that helps you manage multi-sampling your synths. Maybe someone here knows the answer.Ģ) Is it possible to run the MPC Touch with a Mac Mini "headless". So I have some specific Mac and MIDI questions that I've not been able to find answers to using Google or the manual.

Just can't bring myself to spend $500 on an old MPC and I honestly don't know if they are slow or if an old OS will drive me nuts. I've been searching eBay for an MPC1000 for a while now, and this weekend I went from Maschine to MPC Touch.
